Trip Summary
In the past week, summer fishing has been kicking off inshore and around our barrier islands! We have landed our first keeper Cobia of the season. A solid 43lber! Spanish mackerel, bull redfish, and one of the tastiest fish, Pompano, have showed up. Sharks have showed up also. We are catching plenty of white trout and ground mullet which make for great fish frys. Speckled trout will be swarming our waters in great numbers in preparation of their first spawn of the year. Red snapper season will begin May 25th and is set at a 2,800lb quota for state charter captains. The season may last a few weeks but possibly much longer.
