Leaving in the dark for first light Poon
We could hear them slurping in the dark and the first Tarpon gobbled the Gurkin Fly as it landed just outside
The limited visibility ....but we knew he was on, zipping the fly line from the deck.
That was the beginning of our morning as the sun leaked some yellow into the frame we hooked number two
of the 9 Tarpon running 20 to over 100 lbs that we jumped, snapped off on purpose or fought and landed
In less than 2 hours.
It’s these ” Inky flat calm ” too hot mornings and evenings that remind us to keep the Spot lights charged and the Running Lights operational…...
