Giant reds keep coming

Summary

We set out for NC’s giant red drum once again and the fish was fantastic.  We targeted the fish with DOA swim bait popping cork rigs on my new TFO Inshore series MH action rods.  It didn’t take long to find a few giants!  We were fishing the lower Neuse River out of Oriental, NC. Our fish came from as shallow as 3 feet and as deep as 12 feet.  Our deeper water fish were under large school of menhaden.  We had double digit bites and landed 9 fish over 40 inches and as big as 50 pounds.  Look for the action to continue right into early October.
