September and October Fishing Forecast

September 07, 2015 by Ryan Gill

Trip Info

September and October are two of the best months to fish in Destin.  The waters are still warm and some exciting species start to come close to shore.  We’ve already hooked up a nice sailfish and expect to see more of the same in the coming weeks.  The blacken tuna should be showing up in good numbers too.  Trolling for small mahi has been good lately with some big kings hanging around the schools of “chicken dolphin” too.  Its not uncommon to boat ten different species of game fish this time of year making fishing fun and exciting. We’re able to keep red snapper on the weekends through November 1st, but they have been a little hard to find after being fished hard in the summer.  We’re still finding them with a little work.  Book your trip with Capt.  Ryan today!
