Mad Son, Palm Beach Report

Trip Info

About a week ago I got a call from a gentleman by the name of Ed. Ed is a big game guide that travels the world taking people hunting. He provides hunting packages for people in The United States, Africa,  etc… (to many to name). He set up a charter with the “Mad Son” last week, was a morning trip where he caught a handful of nice keeper snapper. He has since fished with us four other trips and the fifth being this Thursday. One of the trips he brought his wife and another couple where they managed to catch enough snapper to feed a 15 person party with some left over (two big bags filled to the rim).

The really neat thing about this is, Ed booked the boat last night Nov. 3, 2015, for himself to fish with Rohman and myself, paid for the whole boat just to fish with us as a “fun trip”. Well the snapper bite was still going on strong however, the limits that is set for snapper made for a quick “limit out” and a lot of catch and release, lol! Mangrove snapper limits out at five per person which was met WITHIN an hour “15 mangroves” then it was easy to get the other fifteen, mix of yellowtails, muttons and lane snappers. With a ten per person limit for snapper, we limited out in no time, with rods bent the whole time, a lot of joking around and laughter!! What a great experience with a great angler and outdoorsman, thanks Ed we will see you Thursday morning for your last trip until next time!!            Thanks for taking the time to read this…….
