Trip Info

After a few days of wind and rain, we have settled back into the easterly trades. The fishing remains consistently good, and a few hardy souls made good catches, braving torrential rains to hit the big Dorados. The catch of the week has to be an estimated 150# yellowfin tuna, caught on a 5# bonito, drifting a deepwater FAD, (Fish Attracting Device). There was some piscatorial discussion as to which big yellowfin was going to eat the bait, and as always, the biggest bully won.
There have been some reports of big snook being taken off some of the jetties to the East of us, run-off from heavy rains has created a feeding frenzy in the zone where the sweet water meets the salt.
We have plenty of time slots available, so log onto, look up North Coast Sportfishing and B&B and make an appointment to come and visit. Capt. Randy Rode
