Key West Fishing Reports

Lots of Permit running around

Trip Info

Went fishing for Tarpon and Permit yesterday. Found many Tarpon and even had some Snook chasing the fly when casting to Tarpon near the Mangrove islands. Jumped off a nice Tarpon on fly and then noticed a school of Permit holding in deeper water in the current. Quickly changed modes and tried to feed the Permit. We ended up catching many big yellow jacks that moved in amongst the Permit and were hanging on the back of a huge Bull shark. Many species do this to pick up the sharks loose scraps during a feed. Great fun on a fly rod. We also found several big Permit on the flats tailing and feeding. I had many shots on the fish but did not get one on fly. We also caught several huge Barracudas all over 40 inches. The fishing was great and has been lately. We did not look for Bonefish yesterday but they have been very good as well. If you are looking for an adventure give me a call and I will take you on the trip of a lifetime.
