The Catch
Black Drum

With the cooling weather and the dropping water temperatures, the fish are starting to get into their winter patterns. The weather has been so hot that the fish seemed to be in a holding pattern. The water level has been unusually high and dirty making fishing a bit more difficult. The water level is starting to drop and the water clarity is improving. This is allowing for excellent fishing. The reds are starting to school up and the black drum are forming massive schools. I spent the day fishing with my brother and father in-law. It took no time at all and we were on a massive school of black drum. With in two hours he had 19 black drum to the boat as well as three triple headers. We go tired of catching drum and went to look for some reds. We managed to land a few before the day was over. Book you trip today!!!
