Winter Fishing

Trip Info

Hi everyone!  Had my regular client Les on the boat Wednesday.  He is 67 years old and can fish all day, then go home and swim laps in his pool!  We had a really fun day.  We caught and released 4 sailfish, 5 bonito, 1 hound fish, and 1 shark.  Then we caught and kept for the dinner table 4 kingfish and 1 nice mahi.  The highlight of the day was having a 20ft whale shark swim up to the boat like a curious child at the candy store.  What a beautiful sight, and one I won’t forget for a very long time.  They are the biggest fish in the ocean!  Earlier in the week I had a family from China out for a half day.  We caught a few sharks and a snapper.  Weather and sea conditions have been unprecedented this year with lots of rain, South East winds, and now cooler weather.  The pattern seems to be stabilizing starting next week.  I have been saying this for a while but I hope this time it stands true.  The fishing is awesome, with lots of sailfish, kingfish, and some nice mahi moving through.  We just need to get some more comfortable days from mother nature to get out and chase them!!!!  Lets go chase some sailfish!  Tight Lines!!
