Sailfish and dolphin report

Trip Info

The Catch
Dolphin (Mahi Mahi)
King Mackerel (Kingfish)
Shark (Blacktip)

Our trip was scheduled for Friday but with the terrible weather we rescheduled for Saturday.  We had beautiful weather, slick calm day.  I was unsure of what to expect as anytime after tons of wind and rain, fishing can be excellent or awful, its just fishing, you have to go to find out.  Anyway, I had repeat guest Vinne down and he was looking for his first sail. We put out the gogs and waited.  had a double header of small kinds first followed by a keeper Mahi (dolphin).  After a little bit we had a sail on the short bait which disappeared so I grabbed the long as many times the fist will reappear on another bait.  Sure enough there he was.  After that fish was released we caught a little shark that gave a big fight.  Let it go then ran back to the marina to clean the dolpin!
