The Catch
Snapper (Mangrove)

We started our day with tough flats and hard to catch bait but when they stated biting they bit hard. We fished s fee flats looking for cudas but the cold front we had the days before washed out the flats and it was tough. We ended up finding pilchards with the cast net and went to a little wreck that has been producing great sized snook and snapper. When we arrived it didn’t take long for the fish to come to the boat. Every cast was a fish, big yellow jacks which are extremely hard fighters and great eating were all over. We had to fight our way past them to get to the big snappers on the wreck. We wee also hoping for a nice snook and when it happened we were very pleased. Fifteen pounder! Which is s great size for down in the lower keys. After two hours of excellent fishing we were very pleased with the bite. For a great day fishing give us a call at grateful dave charters.
