About The Captain
Charleston SC, United States • Member since April 2017
I grew up striped bass fishing in North Georgia and spent summers chasing redfish in Charleston harbor. I have been angling since I could walk and fished until I heard the dinner bell. It all started when my dad took me to the Florida Keys bone-fishing when I was 8. The time I spent with dad wetting a hook are memories I cherish and it’s those memories that shape my character. Charleston's fishery is diverse and thriving. With such a vast amount of moving water Charleston has it all, and I’m always trying a new spot. I am usually fishing offshore during the summer and nearshore or the creeks during the spring and fall. I’m fishing inshore now and near the river mouths for tarpon, and reds, casting live baits under corks, grubs and flies.
