The Catch
Snapper (Mutton)

A beautiful morning but a bit breezy so our cooperate charter group made the decision to stay inshore and enjoy the calmer waters the Notth Sound provides. Not only did they enjoy the calm sea, a few cold beverages and the picturesque scenery all around but they were treated to light tackle rod bending action all morning. Our snapper season has begun and they are in full swing, we caught and released a few smaller yellowtail, jacks and snapper including one whopper Mutton that tipped the scales. Mutton snappers are powerful fish that make them fun to catch but are also great eating so a few of these are headed for lunch.
