The Catch
Barracuda (Great)

We sought out for BARRACUDA in shallow water all day long. We had some recent cold weather and that inhibits the Tarpon bite a bit in the early season so we decided to go aftr the one fish that doesn’t mind the cold. We found dozens of big Barracuda over 40 inches and the bite good. We landed some exceptional fish on light tackle in water less than 3 feet deep. To find fish by eye sight, position for the cast, get the right cast to the fish and have them chase the lure with incredible speed and attack it is one of the coolest things you can see in fishing. Plus, they pull with extreme speed once hooked and jumps out of the water are common. If you want to get on the water give us a call at Grateful Dave Charters. Tarpon bite will turn on soon as well, the water temps will be rising by next week and sould provide fresh schools of fish.
