The Catch
Bass (Striped)
Summary

Pre-pawn striped bass, hickory shad, crappie, white and yellow perch bite really stepped up this weekend on the Neuse and Trent River near New Bern, NC.  Water temps pushed into the upper 40’s and the river came to life.  We fished both soft plastics and hard baits for stripers, small jigs for pan-fish and tandem shad rigs on the shad.  This is the start of about 3 weeks of great mixed bag fishing and with a few more degrees fly fishing will also be outstanding.  Don’t miss out!
