The Catch

My good friend Johnny Vegas loves his Tripletail so we took 100 shrimp and headed out to run the thousands of crab pot buoys off of the beaches.  After running about 30 buoys we started getting into them pretty good.  There were a lot of shorter fish that we left alone and we waited til we saw the big one and did it pay off. At one point we found two larger fish hanging out on a crab buoy and got them both to eat a shrimp.  Double Header!  We ended up limiting out with six fish that ranged 5-13 lbs. we were using 2/0 circle hooks with 20 lb. leader and 20 lb. braid mainline. It was a great day!
