Winter Wahoo bite!

The Catch

It’s winter somewhere but thankfully not here. Our temperature may still be 80 but that winter weather else where cools our water slightly and with it brings many wahoo to our waters. Wahoo are hard fighting fish and are fantastic eating and I’m grateful we are having an amazing bite right now. We fished the afternoon falling tide and had some good strikes but only one stayed buttoned up and he’s got a dinner date. With our deep water so close we are able to fish and within a few minutes as we did again today, make a nice stop at the deep stingray city to cool off in the crystal clear water, snorkel and feed the fish and rays. Could it get any better.
