Summary

I was contacted by Chuck from Boston, MA yesterday about tarpon fishing. He reserved a half day morning trip for today. He is stranded in San Juan with his wife due to the blizzard in Boston. A cool front came in last night so it made fishing challenging.  We got out there early and got baited up easily. Greenies, spanish sardines and bay anchovies were on the menu. We got hooked up early with a nice jack just before the high tide and then we got robbed by the small cudas; later we moved into the back country were we got into the tarpon; we hooked up and lost 3 tarpon and finally chuck got his first tarpon ever, a baby 15 lbs. or so but still a tarpon! All and all it was a great day out, we got the skunk out of the boat and chuck got to fish in eighty degree weather while Boston is under 94 inches of snow. Tight lines!
