Trip Info

The Catch
Snapper (Red)
Triggerfish (Gray)
Snapper (Vermilion)

The water was a little rough but we all braved the elements and went to the East.  The surf was up 3’ and there were large swells but we ran with the current.  On the way out we were trolling a cedar plug and had one big hook up but it came off before we could land the fish.  The reel was screaming!!

When we reached our spot we bottom fished and caught vermillion, grey triggerfish and even hooked up on some Red Snapper.  Unfortunately, the season was closed but the fish gave father and son a good fight on a double hook up!!

Jay and Nick had a great time and took some good fillets home to share with the family.

Hope to see Jay and Nick again really soon.
