Summary

Caught a SLAM in the ICW today with Andrea and family. We had Black Drum, Redfish and Sheepshead for the slam and released Jacks, Ladyfish and Bonnethead Sharks as well. We got on a very good bite (over 20) of Redfish in one spot with most being short (under 18”) but there were some big ones in there as well, straightened the hooks two 1/4 oz jigs on big (over 25”) reds at the side of the boat. The sheepies were also caught on jigs and live shrimp (every thing eats a jig and live shrimp). We were supposed to go offshore but the wind and seas were a bit too much so they elected to fish the ICW. Good choice, had a Safe day and caught a lot of fish.
