Great First Night Trip of 2020!
June 20, 2020 South Kingstown 2 photos
First night trip of the year last night. It was a great night! I hosted Jim & Jeff for an 8 hour evening trip. Jeff had never fished from a bass boat before, although he had done some shore fishing. Jim has fished with me once already this year, and had fished at night before, but hadn't used some of the tactics I taught him on this trip for catching bass after dark. By the time the night was done, we had boated well over 20 bass, lost several more, and Jeff had landed his personal best bass! We all had a blast, and even spent a few minutes towing a disabled boat back to shore before it got dark. The next several weeks will be great for night fishing, so if you've never tried it before, and you'd like to experience it, be sure to contact me to book a trip! A Small Adjustment Made The Difference!
July 13, 2020
Another great day on the water today! I hosted Jake, Jordan and Patty for the second time this year, for 6 hours of bass fishing. At the day's end, we had boated close to 30 bass total, with a few really nice ones in the mix. A very subtle change in our presentation that I picked up on early in the day took us from a slow first half hour to steady action for the rest of the morning. Lots and Lots of Bass!
June 29, 2020
I got to spend yesterday evening on the water with Jim and Marco. Jim has become a regular with me lately! Marco had never caught a bass before, so Jim decided to bring him out to fix that problem. We launched as thunder storms were about 25 miles to the west of us, wondering if we might have to pull to shore at any point to seek shelter. Thankfully, the thunder and lightning stayed a safe distance away, even though we did have some rain for about an hour. The storms had the water churned up pretty good, but we still managed to find the bass! Marco made quick work of catching his first-ever bass, doing so on only his second or third cast of the day ? From there, we just picked away at the bass, adding one here and one there. The really big girls weren't overly active, but we did manage a few nice ones, with the biggest of the night topping the 4 lb. mark. A great trip overall, with so many bass that we lost count after a while. Let me help you put the pieces of the bass fishing puzzle together.

Spent an evening on the water with a friend on Wednesday. We fished form 7 PM until 12:30 AM The bite was sporadic, but we still managed to boat close to 20 bass and lose several others between the two of us. The highlight of the night was my 5.35 lb. bass that was caught before it got dark out. The bass after dark were smaller than what we usually catch at night, but the numbers more than made up for the lack of bigger fish. My buddy did manage to catch one over 3 lbs., which was nice. We caught fish on a combination of soft plastics, spinnerbaits and topwater baits. Let me help you put the pieces of the bass fishing puzzle together.
