Trip Summary

I got to spend yesterday evening on the water with Jim and Marco. Jim has become a regular with me lately! Marco had never caught a bass before, so Jim decided to bring him out to fix that problem. We launched as thunder storms were about 25 miles to the west of us, wondering if we might have to pull to shore at any point to seek shelter. Thankfully, the thunder and lightning stayed a safe distance away, even though we did have some rain for about an hour. The storms had the water churned up pretty good, but we still managed to find the bass! Marco made quick work of catching his first-ever bass, doing so on only his second or third cast of the day ? From there, we just picked away at the bass, adding one here and one there. The really big girls weren't overly active, but we did manage a few nice ones, with the biggest of the night topping the 4 lb. mark. A great trip overall, with so many bass that we lost count after a while. Let me help you put the pieces of the bass fishing puzzle together.
