On Saturday we anchored up 48nm NW out of Blind Pass to 102 feet of water on their offshore charter. My guests caught Red Grouper, Mangrove Snapper, Lane Snapper and a bonus Tuna. The Mangrove Snappers were 14''- 23'', which are always great to add to the bag and the Lanes too made for nonstop action for the guys. The bonus tuna was caught on a flat line with wire set up out the back, he weighed in at 13lbs.
Gear: Combination of "dropper loop" rigs, set up with 50lb. leader and a 3/0 VMC circle hook, knocker rigs using the same 50lb leader and hook along with a 5-6 ounce sinker.
Bait: live pin fish and cut squid did the trick
