Trip Summary

We started the day leaving the Port of Vermilion and made a 10 mile run. The Skeeter cruised nicely at 30 mph in the 3 foot waves. We got to the location I have fished the last two weeks and got set up. The first fish we caught was the steelhead on a crawler harness about 30 feet down. With all the lines set up and running between 27 and 45 feet down we proceeded to pull fish almost at will. There was almost no time where there wasnt a fish being reeled in. We caught their 3 man limit fairly quickly whjch was good because the waves were building and were 4 to foot by the time we got everything back in and headed to port. A very good day ( a little bumpy) but the fish always bite best with waves.
