We left Charleston Harbor at 6:00 AM with four excited fishermen to calm seas and clear skies. The plan for the day was bottom fishing a couple or artificial reefs and live bottoms in 80 to 100 feet of water.

We arrived at our first destination and dropped double hook chicken rigs with 8 ounce sinkers to the bottom in 100 feet. The vermillion snapper were thick and good size “footballs”.  Between there and the next two spots we had our limit, a few trigger fish, amber jacks, and a 20 lb scamp grouper. All in all it was a good day with good folks.
