The Catch
Snapper (Red)

Well, the weather report was wrong again.  Buoy Weather showed 1 ft seas and calm winds.  Accuweather showed 2 ft seas with 8-10 MPH winds.  Both were wrong…the seas were 2-3 and very windy.  We were able to get out to do some trolling.  The anglers consisted of 4 boys (all teens) and a great Dad/Uncle.  We trolled for a few hours and hooked up on several bonito.  The first bonito came in as only a head since a barracuda, king or shark snagged the rest of the body.  The boys thought it was awesome to pull in just a head.  We hooked up on a few more bonito even though it was very rough.  The seas calmed down for just a short period of time and we were able to hit a snapper spot for a while…enough to hook up a nice red snapper.  I received a nice picture of their cooked snapper…yum!!
