Snapper (Cubera)
Snapper (Red)
Snapper (Vermilion)

The trip started at 6 AM.  The sun was beautiful as we were going across Choctawhatchee Bay.  Photos were taken of the beautiful red sky.  We met up with Steve (Channel 80) bait boat and purchased a supply of live cigar minnows.  The water was a little choppy at the Destin Pass but we motored 19 miles to the East to hook up lots of Red Snapper as well as vermillion, AJs and Cubera Snapper.  One of the spots had little activity on the bottom but we dropped down anyway.  We hit up on 2 very large red snapper…both of which pulled drag and were giving my anglers a workout!!  During the day we had several “break offs” possibly a shark on one and the other was possibly an AJ.  Coming back to the pass was a little rough as we motored back to the West.  The wind was kicking up and we had a soggy ending to the day with everyone covered in salt water…but they were still all smiles as the saw their catch being taken out of the fish box.  What a great day!!!!
