The Catch
Snapper (Red)

The weather report showed 1 ft on one site and 2 ft on another.  We left the dock at 6 AM and had to wait in a long line for live bait.  We had the option to fish for bait but though it would be better just to buy it and then head out.  No use wasting time.  The farther we went out the rougher it became.  The Gulf went from 1 ft to 3’s and 4’s!!  We fished a close in spot and Debbie got her first keeper snapper.  We moved to several spots to try to stay close due to the Gulf being choppy.  We ended up lucking out and getting 2 other snapper.  There were lots of bites and break offs.  We had a great day and Debbie and her husband took home a nice bag of fillets!!  Hope you guys have a safe trip back and enjoy the snapper fillets!!  See you again next time.
