This morning started out with a glorious sunrise.  The predictions for the seas was supposed to be 1ft.  We arrived at the Destin Pass and quickly located the bait boat and bought bait.  The water was a little rough but we motored South West to one of my favorite spots.  The 50% rain prediction was spot on as we saw rain, lightening and storms all around us.  We fished the spot for a while and hooked up on some amberjacks but soon had to depart the site because of lightening.  We motored farther South and had several spots we tried only to be run off by storms.  During the day we fished lots of spots and finally landed on one where we caught lots of fish.  We had several break and lots of bites.  My group landed am ambereen, triggers (returned not in season) snapper and a blue fish.  While heading in the storms were raging and it was a very rough ride.  The group was able to hear someone reporting about a boat broken loose in the Destin Harbor.  The Coast Guard was giving direction when we came across a pontoon boat that had broken loose off crab island and was drifting loose under the Destin Bridge.  The boat was hitting the pilings and no one was on the vessel.  I contacted the Coast Guard and reported this boat.  My group became excited to see the rescue by Sea Tow and listening to the Coast Guard giving directions.

Today was a good day despite all the bad weather and having to move around.  My group took home enough fish filets to have dinner at their rented house.
