Opposing Conditions Same Day.
On the morning trip wind against tide produced challenging seas to 6-ft off the Point. We found some calmer water and put away stripers to 32- pounds and had a Montauk Grand Slam of striped bass, fluke, sea bass, and bluefish.
In the afternoon the wind dropped the tide turned and it was gorgeous. It took a while to find feeding stripers, but once we did it was a quick hit of quality striper specimens to 39-pounds.
