Mako my day

Trip Info

Summary

While catching porgies, triggers, & snappers, the first uninvited guest was thick fog. The second was dining on our hooked fish. His appetite was his demise. After getting multiple hooks in his mouth & back, an aprox 110 lb. mako shark tried to escape the Lucky Lina. Before he spooled us we ran him down, closed the gap & got 2 gaffs in him & a tailrope before he realized he was in trouble. Had to end the trip soon as we did not have enough ice to keep the shark’s delicious meat fresh for long. What might swim up next is the allure of fishing!
