Tarpon Shows his Arse in March

March 31, 2015 by Sean Rice

Trip Info

The last day of March i want to see if the Poons are around yet at the Bridges. I pick up my trip mid morning after suggesting it would be a better tide later in the day. We got decent treadfins and some good size green backs. Eager to spot the Sliver King we anchored up on tail end of a incoming tide. I launched a good size Green back after chumming up for a bit and was hit within minutes by a 150 pounder he tugged for a bit done a body roll Arse in air and a head spin and flipped me off as if to say
” Dude it’s still March I ain’t gonna let your Irish arse have too much fun just after St Paddy’s Day”
We seen another one jump the tide was slack and it all played down. It was time to seek some Red fish and Snook, 20 mph wind and big surf did not make that easy but we managed to have a little fun on lighter tackle.
