Great weather, Great Fishing

Trip Summary

After trolling prepared ballyhoo baits out to the fish attracting devices and catching a few Dorados, we decided to troll back inshore and try for some deepwater fish, dropping fresh strips of blacken tuna, in anywhere from 600` deep, all the way out to 1,800`! We did very well in the 600` depth, catching a variety of delicious-eating snappers and groupers. Then we trolled out to another spot I have in more than 1,800` of water depth, catching a few cardinal snappers, which are also delicious. We use a combination of electric reels, and manual reels, with break away weights. Exciting fishing, because you never know what you are going to come up with!
