The Fishing is Warming Up

Trip Info

As we approach May we approach some of the best fishing of the year! The warming temperatures bring better fishing and hungrier fish. Right now Redfish are eating, with large numbers being caught around docks and being sightfished. Speaking of Sightfishing, we are coming up on some great tailing tides. These situations allow the angler to Sightfish a Tailing Redfish in the grass. This style of fishing is very hands on and can be truly rewarding, in fact we caught the first tailing fish of the year in early April. Beyond that, my Tournament Partner and I finished 8th out of 49 boats in the April Lowcountry Redfish Cup. In other news, the Sheepshead bite has been on all winter and the big ones are fixing to venture inshore. As the sheepshead leave the reef, we will begin to see more consistent numbers of big Seatrout and Flounder inshore. With all of these things coming together, anglers have a lot to look forward to. I’ve got years of experience fishing these waters, and I would love to share that with you. Please feel free to check out my website at or call me at 843-478-8216.
