Muskie opener is only a couple weeks away, and I couldn't be more excited! The weather this spring is shaping up to be an incredible start to the muskie season. A nice stretch of weather before opener will have weed growth looking really good. I expect the 35-42 inch males will be using the weeds and the big females will be in open water! One thing I love about early season musky fishing is that the fish can be anywhere from the shallow weedy flats, out into open water basins, and everywhere in between.
