Key West Fishing

Trip Info

Tarpon fishing in the Lower Florida Keys has been exactly what it should be, excellent. Whether throwing flies or using bait, the bite has been steady and more than enough. Using bait at the bridges and in channels has been excellent, hooking up to a dozen fish in one day is not uncommon. On the flats the fish have been pouring through, offering amazing shots on fly and with artificial lures using spinning reels. Bait may also be used on the flats but regardless of method the fish have been biting very well and keeping my clients tired. Some of these fights reaching 45 minutes in length is enough to get anyone tired.
The shark bite has also been very good, big Bull sharks, Lemons, Hammerheads, Blacktips and Spinners have all been very active and eating well in shallow waters. The month of May offers many different species and the best weather to go along with it. if you plan to come to the keys, give me a call and I will get you on the fish.
