There were 4 on this trip, but they can handle up to 6. The oldest, me, is 75 and they youngest was my grandson who is 9. First time for my grandson and the others had limited deep see fishing experience. They were very friendly and ready to go as soon as we got to the boat. They asked us what we wanted to catch and we said big fish. During ride to the big fish we got to know each other and Don explained the techniques to catching big fish. We hit our first stop and we were catching fish fast and Don was doing all the work and helping us land the fish. We caught some big Amerjack and Amalco. We also caught a lot of Amerjack that were just inches short of keepers, but back into the ocean they went! We moved to other spots when the fishing slowed at ours. Don was very patient with all of us and especially to my grandson.
My grandson caught a couple of nice fish and they took us to the weight in station for the fishing rodeo for him to enter his fish and get his picture made. He received a free fishing pole and 2 award certificates. Doing this put us past the 8 hours but they didnโt mind. Don cleaned our fish and iced them down in our cooler.

Great day with Captain Tommy and Don. They put us on fish, said it was the best day they had all season. We were able to target amberjacks, do some bottom fishing and head I. For some shark fishing at the end of the day. They were great with four pre-teen/teen boys, kept the lines going and didnโt get frustrated when lines got lost. Boat is clean, cabin is spacious and well air-conditioned and Captain Tommy invited everyone up top where you could get fresh air. Would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for a great day in the gulf.

We did a 4 hour trip that included trolling for mackerel. The weather was not on our side with stronger than forecast winds.ย We started fishing in the gulf but the waves got to us so we moved inland to calmer water.ย The bite was ok for the day. Of course you want consistent action, but letโs be honest itโs fishing. Overall great trip.ย Thanks Captain!
