Fished the North River with David and my son. A storm blew through the night before our trip raising the water level and the South wind helped push the water even further back into the trees and marsh. It made the fishing more difficult but not impossible. We started with frogs and when that bite ended moved downriver to some other creeks and fished senkos and spinnerbaits. Although the bite was slow we still managed around 20 largemouths ranging up to 3 pounds. Iโm sure without the storm dumping the extra water more fish would have been caught. We had a fantastic time with David, he is very personable and knowledgeable about the area and answered any questions we asked. His equipment is top shelf and the Ranger with the 250 Yamaha gets you there quickly. If we return to the Outer Banks we will definitely hook up with him again. We had a great day on the river and highly recommend him if you are looking for a guide. Thanks, David for an extremely enjoyable day of fishing.

My half-day trip with Dave Ward was my best ever experience with a fishing guide. Before the trip, Daveโs communication was excellent, quick and timely. When it looked like the wind coulde be a problem, Dave changed what was supposed to be a morning trip into an afternoon outing. The wind died, and the trip was wonderful. Dave has the best equipment Iโve ever seen, including a 360 degree locater.ย Daveโs knowledge was excellent. He did not fish for4 the first hour of the trip until I invited him to fish. When he caught a bass on a swimming bait, he immediately tied that bait onto my line, and I caught a couple of fish on it. Our conversation throughout the trip was engaging. I wish I had the time and money to fish with Dave everyday.

Communication prior to the trip was excellent.ย Captain David put us on the fish and we had a blast!ย Just a great trip!
Very personable, kept moving to locate fish, always forthright with suggestions , best bass boat Iโve ever been in and thats been a dozen or so.ย Never to a break in an eight hour day and never hot holed once. Just stayed on the hunt which result in nice catches!
Really a lot of fun, great variety, and consistent bite. Very much enjoyed the trip!
