Eric has good equipment, and he had no trouble locating tarpon.  Getting them to bite was another matter.  I did eventually hook two tarpon, one was surely over 100 lbs.  Both came off.

We got just what we wanted. Got very good overview of tarpon fishing in the keys. No fish this time but got multiple shots.

My wife and I took a half day trip with Capt. Eric.  He was very nice but unfortunately we did not catch but 3 fish.  We traveled 1 hr to get to a spot that we fished for the entire trip which yielded 3 fish that were keepers and many of the fish caught were just catfish or jacks or to small overall.  We also got wet due to the winds and the chop in his small boat but we enjoyed the ride overall just because of the beautiful scenery.  For the money spent, we were hoping for more fish to take home. We understand there is no guarantee to catch fish but we could have moved spots earlier, to try at least another area.  Also, my wife hand issues with her fishing rod as the braid kept getting tangled due to the braid possibly being to light I think .  It was odd.  She ended up catching the keeper redfish so in the end it worked for her.  Captain Eric was nice but perhaps he could have offered a little discount of something if booked another trip in the future.
