I donโt know what else to say to summarize this other than to tell anyone thinking of doing a trip to book Captain Kaleb without hesitation!
My Fiance and I were going to Charleston over the weekend to get away a little and celebrate her birthday, and she had always wanted to go on a fishing trip, so this lined up very well for us.
Even though we went in the colder months, Kaleb showed great knowledge on what areas are best to fish in and a deep understanding of how the fish operate in colder weather.ย You donโt expect to catch much (if anything) during the winter, but we still caught several trout and red fish (and was able to keep 4) - so in addition to having a good time, we got to take some fish filets as well!
The boat was clean, tidy, new and well taken care of.ย There were many accessories on the boat to ensure you were going to be able to fish as well as possible - no worries of getting stuck or having to constantly keep the boat aligned as the sonar and trolling motor\shallow water anchor kept you in place and on target.
Kaleb was an excellent guide to inshore fishing - he knew the spots and you can tell heโs angler through and through and enjoys fishing and spreading that joy to others.ย He was very communicative - you knew exactly what you needed to do and heโd guide you through anything that you needed help with.ย Being more used to freshwater creek fishing, he was a great help to me with casting and would explain the reasoning behind what you were doing - the sign of an experienced and knowledgeable fisherman.
My fiance thoroughly enjoyed this trip - being her first time catching anything, she had a blast when we started reeling in our catches for the day.ย Kaleb was attentive to her as a first timer - he taught her a lot of the basics that went with inshore fishing and helped guide her on how to catch fish successfully.
Overall - a great and memorable trip with Captain Kaleb! We had a blast and will look to book him again in the future!
