Captain Don enjoys helping people catch fish, and will do anything to make sure they do! It was a beautiful day on the boat and so much fun!!!

Anytime you book a charter, you hope you picked the right captain. In this case, it proved itself. Captain Don was the “Go to” Captain, for others as they were contacting him for advice, since they were not catching fish. Additionally, being a slower day, we were still catching fish, while others had nothing to show for. Captain Don was eager to teach, not just fish. His knowledge of the area was superb and he was able to find the holes where the fish was hiding.
My kids and I always rate a captain on a couple of things:
Expertise: 5 stars (out of 5), Captain Don, knew it all, no question stumped him
Efficiency: 5 stars (out of 5). Super quick baiting and rehooking
Instructional: 5 stars (out of 5) We were learning all the tricks
Fun: 5 stars (out of 5) This one is the most important one.

A perfect 5 stars for all categories. I am sure to request Captain Don’s services again when in the area.

I have to give credit where credit is due, now I am not a big review kind of guy but this one is well deserved.  Went out fishing with Capt. Don and Blue Collar Fishing Charters on a very questionable day as far as tides and fishing forecasts, but that made absolutely no difference as you can see from the pictures.  The true test of a good charter guide is knowing where the fish are at difficult times and this guy knew!  He was a great coach at landing the fish as sometimes I would get over excited and get a little over zealous on the drag or reeling speed but Capt Don was right there to talk me through it, supplied all the tackle and bait, a cooler with cold waters, and the boat rode on the rough wind blown waters of the bay like a champ.  I have to say this guy gets 2 thumbs up for performing on a difficult day, cant imagine what the fishing would have been like on a good day.  we caught several reds, a bunch of snook, 1 jack and as usual some trash fish…but there was always some action.  Don’t hesitate you wont be disappointed booking here with Capt Don and Blue Collar Charters.

Awesome fishing trip, took us to get freezer food then to catch big fighters. Took us to lunch at a cool place on the water. Very knowledgeable and easy to get along with, he stayed out fishing for 2 extra hours, I guess we were easy to get along with. Remember it’s fishing not catching lucky we were catching. My wife and daughter get all the bragging rights they caught the most fish. Will absolutely go with him on our next visit.
