Did the 4 hour inshore fishing trip and caught tons of great fish. Captain Phil was super helpful and made this a highlight of our trip

  My family and I went deep sea fishing for the first time with Captain Phil on a beautiful day in San Diego. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I decided to book a 3/4 trip because my Father was in town and I wanted to take him fishing. We had an amazing day! The conditions were perfect and the Captain had a great navigation system that led us right to the fish! 3/4 day trips are the best because we ended up 25 miles off shore to fish for Yellow Tail, and still had time catch a bunch of bass and snapper while enjoying the beautiful coastline of San Diego off of La Jolla and Del Mar. The boat was the perfect size and the equipment was excellent. My Dad and I learned a lot from Captain Phil and will definitely be booking a trip with him again soon.

Took two separate trips with Good Times Sportfishing. The first was a night lobster trip which Capt. Power put us on the hot spot immediately. We met our max after the first drop which was impressive. This was my first time out for lobster and the Capt. was patient, thoroughly explained everything involved, and professional. My second trip was out to find tuna, mahi, or yellowtail. This was a bit of an adventure as it took a while to find the bite. We ran all over searching and Capt. Power was determined to get us hooked up. At the end of the day we ended up with five yellowtail and I couldn’t have asked for better service. I’ve been on many charters that will stop at a handful of marked spots and call it quits to head for the kelp beds just to get you a fish but he knew what I wanted to catch and made it happen. Great boat, gear, and knowledge made both trips a success. Will book again.

Captain was open and up front about trip. Would gladly book with him again if I’m ever back in the area.
