Wow. What an epic day we had with Capt Edgar!

I’m an avid fisherman with a lot of charter experience. We decided to book Edgar for my birthday in La Paz, and that was the best decision of the trip.

Woke up at 7am, Edgar picked us up right in front of our resort. World class service! He came rigged and ready too! Live mackerel in the well, rods and reels spooled with fresh line, and we’re off. I brought a few reels and some gear thinking his may be inadequate - man was I wrong!

The panga was clean, dialed in and FAST. We got to the zone in under 20 minutes. First bite about an hour in, and it was NON STOP from there. I’m talking 20-30lb slug yellowtail just ripping our baits troll after troll.

After hitting limits for passenger AND crew, Edgar stopped off at a beautiful remote beach, where he let my girlfriend and I enjoy a beautiful lunch he made for us while he cleaned and fileted!

Got to our resort before noon with limits of fish and smiles for miles. Can’t ask for more! Definitely booking a few trips per year with Edgar, for years to come.

Edger makes killer burritos for lunch and great knowledge of fishing.

Amazing! Edgar is so knowledgeable and a great guide. We hooked a big mahi mahi within seconds of getting to the first spot and had a fantastic day. Edgar brought burritos and drinks for breakfast/lunch. Ended the day with more fish than we could imagine. We didn’t want to freeze and bring our fish home, so Edgar recommended a restaurant nearby who cooked our fish for us… it was incredible! We will definitely be coming back to fish la Paz again with Edgar!! Muchas gracias amigo.

We booked two trips with Edgar during our stay, and we’d recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat. He is knowledgeable and genuinely cares about your experience. In addition to fishing, Edgar was a great “tour guide” sharing history and background on sea life we encountered as well as catching things in the distance and pointing them out. Highly recommend booking with him and hope we can return next year to fish with him again!
