We wanted to do a fishing trip to celebrate three birthdays and we couldn’t have asked for a better day, or a better Captain! Picture beautiful blue skies with 85 degree temperatures, and classic rock and country as the backdrop music to our incredible fishing trip with Captain Monty at Captain Big Fish. Along with Matt, greatest deckhand ever, they put us on the fish and we enjoyed a great day on the water. We highly recommend this great crew!

This trip was PHENOMENAL.  It was particularly special because it was my sons birthday and Capt Monty and Matt made it a day he will never forget with their professionalism, caring, and fishing expertise.  It was a good enough trip that even if we didn’t catch any fish it would’ve been a great experience for my whole family.  Catching 22 fish just made it that much better. These guys are just good dudes. Customer service is obviously a priority to them from initial communication through execution of the trip. Highly recommend Captain Big Fish Charters.

We can’t say enough about our trip. Captain Monty and Matt made it their mission to give us a great experience. By the end of the trip it felt like we were hanging out with great family friends. Captain put us on some dinner and we had an awesome time on the water. Boat is in top shape and they keep you safe. These guys would be who you want to call for a family trip, they have great personalities and work well with kids. Besides being cool, these guys know how to fish and take the time to explain and teach. See you next year.

The Captain and First mate were nothing short of awesome! Both very personable, fun to be around and made everything exceptional. Took us a minute to get on some fish but the time spent trolling was great, we jammed to some music, had great conversation, and had an all around good time. If we wouldn’t have caught any fish we would’ve paid to do it all over again. Monty and Matt treated everyone like we have been friends for years. I’d highly recommend anyone to use these guys over any other fishing guide in North Carolina. Thanks Monty and Matt for an awesome trip!

We had an awesome time with Captain Monty and his first mate, Breeze.  We had two 5 year old boys and they were so great talking with them, teaching them and including them as much as possible while being safe. 

A couple adults were a little queasy feeling and they were so great helping to make sure they did everything they could to help them feel better.  Even with a little seasick feelings we all had an amazing time because of Captain Monty.  He goes above and beyond for his clients and it shows! 

Definitely recommend this trip if you are in the area!!
