I’ve been on quite a few charter boats but what made this one phenomenal was the crew. It’s not the newest or fanciest boat, but it’s comfortable and fully capable of getting the job done. The Captain and Mate however were very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating.  We caught our limit of snapper, a ton of blues and even a couple of unexpected yellowtails. These guys made sure my family, and especially my 13 year old son, had a fishing trip to remember. Not only would I recommend, but I will fish with them again.

Fantastic outing with Capt Steve and Isaac this morning. My sons (17 and 18) and I had a blast. Isaac and Capt Steve are both super knowledgeable about fish we caught (wide variety of species) and saw (nurse shark and barracuda), and Marathon/Keys culture. They got us on fish right away, and Isaac was super attentive in helping us keeping our lines in the water, always had bait waiting when we got cleaned. Boat met all needs with a very comfortable ride and is showing its age a bit. I would not hesitate to recommend FishingKings to friends and family or book with them again on a future visit. Lunch with our fresh catch was our best meal thus far. Very fun time!!

We came down for a New Years’ trip and booked in advance with Captain Steve.  He contacted us, worried that with the swells we might not get the fish that we had hoped for…and graciously offered to bump us out a day.  We decided to stay with the Saturday scheduled and he warned us that it might not be very productive.  Being avid fishers, we stuck with the original schedule knowing that a bad day fishing is better than most days on land.  We were not disappointed.

Captain Steve took us out to a spot that he hoped would produce and boy did it!  We caught all kinds of fish; puffers, remora, cats, eel, even hooked a couple of sharks…and they stole several of our fish…also exciting.  My wife brought one of the sharks in and we cut it off at the boat…quite fun.  We ended up keeping some mackerel and bluefish.

Isaiah, his son, and mate was delightful.  He shared info about the fish we were seeing as well as other stories from fishing trips.  He worked hard to keep us with lines in the water! 

This is not a fancy boat, it is a fishing boat…but that is exactly what we came out for!!!

Short version, it was a great experience, and we are grateful to have had such a lovely time on the water with the FishingKings!  Thanks.

Me and my 15 year old son caught our family dinner of yellowtail and mangrove snapper on the reef before heading offshore for the chance of a fish of a lifetime. We hooked a giant blue marlin that leaped acrobatically twice next to the boat before coming undone. Thank you Isaac. We will never forget this experience.

Isaac was knowledgeable and attentive. He was right there to bait our hooks, untangle our lines and cast our lines when needed. We caught a huge variety of fish and he knew about each of them. We did not go to the reef because it was too windy but he knew where to take us.
Woukd do again. ..request Isaac. He was great.
