Great boat, really nice guy.  Got us on fish pretty quickly and everybody got to catch a few.

What an amazing trip!  Captain Teddy was so nice and taught us all about off shore fishing on our family’s first trip.  We caught 5 tunas all together.  You can tell Teddy was a natural fisherman and knew exactly where to go.  My 6 year old had the time of his life.  The boat was super clean and Captain Teddy kept everything clean through the entire trip.  We would definitely book with Teddy again when we come back to the Bahamas.  Thank you Teddy for a memorable trip!

You can’t say “they just aren’t biting today” when you can’t find the fish to begin with. A good charter captain finds the fish and stays on them day to day, to make sure his clients can get in on the action and always has a plan B and C just in case.
I am a Mate on a 2 charter boats in the Northeast and a Commercial Fisherman and I understand some days are slower than others, thats fishing. But it was pretty obvious this guy does the same route every day hoping there’s fish in the area instead of searching and scouting on non paid days.
Overall the Captain seemed like a nice guy and has a well kept boat and equipment. He put in time before the charter to ice the boat down and pre-rig ballyhoo. As a mate myself, I understand preparation is most of the job and most clients down know what happens behind the scenes.

However, I was quite disappointed in the lack of effort. I’m sure you will catch fish on this charter some days when its hard not to hook up but, what sets apart a good captain from the rest of the fleet is being able to put your clients on fish consistently, even on bad days and always having a backup plan. Our backup plan after Wahoo fishing was to troll inshore for yellowtail. We trolled for 2 hours with stout rods and 18k Saragossas spooled with what looked like 50lb mono. Not the best tactic for targeting 12” snappers. It just seemed like the easy way out. Put some rods out, play the part, watch the clock and get paid. If you are looking to just catch fish and have fun, bring a travel rod and fish the beach in the morning.

Captain Pratt was great. He worked non stop to find fish. On a day when I know other boats struggled and caught nothing we caught two mahi mahi, two yellow fin tunas, two skipjacks. Missed on a couple of other who got off as well. He fished hard until the last minute and was a pleasure to spend a day on a boat with. I would highly recommend and will not even consider looking to go out with other charters if/when I get my next chance to go out fishing in there.

We had an epic day on the water with Teddy on his well kept, super clean and fast fishing boat, The Real Deal. From start to finish Teddy delivered. My son was able to nab a huge wahoo that weighed a good 70-80 lbs. My other son caught two barracudas, which were fun for him to reel in. We finished the day off with a swim with the pigs. After, we went to the Poop Deck restaurant where they prepared our fresh catch of the day! It truly doesn’t get any better than this! Teddy is the Real Deal, it is clear he is passionate about fishing and wants to do the best he can. When looking at the FishingBooker website, I had a hard time picking a vessel out, not knowing who is the best, now we know. If you are looking, look no further, book with Teddy. You’ll have a great day! Not many other boats caught fish today. Thankfully, with Teddy’s local knowledge and magical touch we caught a fantastic fish and have memories that will last a lifetime along with a great family photo! Thank you, Teddy!
