Ted. i booked the trip for my husband, and we made it a sightseeing/fishing tour for our entire family (2 adults-3 kids). ted was very knowledgeable about the entire area, showing us where houses used to be, tid-bits about local history and genuinely cared about making sure we got the trip we weโre looking for. he took the kids under his wing, making them feel comfortable and not bothersome.
overall great trip. if we come back to the area, we will book with captain ted again!!

My son Matt (25 yrs) and I went out with Captain Ted last year and not only enjoyed the fishing as we meandered along the coast and had lunch in Rockport, but we were impressed with his seemingly infinite knowledge onโฆwell, just about everything. He knows the area of the Essex River, Essex Bay, Ipswich Bay etc incredibly well. The trip is a history lesson and a fishing trip all in one. The boat is comfortable up to maybe 5-6 guests with all the necessary electronics, Fishfinder etc. This was COVID season so there were some restrictions but since Matt and I were family it was pretty easy to manage. It seems Captain Teds business has been booming despite the pandemic. After this years trip, weโre committed to making this an annual event as often as we can.

The trip was amazing and the caption was so knowledgeable. We had the time of our lives. If you have the chance to book a trip with agawam boat and fishing charters please do it I promise you will not be disappointed. Canโt say enough. So go out and try it.

Great time with captain Ted he put all 5 if us on fish and gave us a history tour of the area where we were fishing great boat very clean everybody is ready to book again caught over 15 striped bass with a triple hookup at one time captain Ted will put you on fish

We had such a great time on our trip with Captain Ted. Of all our vacation activities it was everyoneโs favorite. We caught a whole bunch of striped bass and hooked/fought/lost several sturgeon. We also loved all of the history and info about the area. Parking and I start weโre very easy and we enjoyed lunch at Woodmans after the trip. Highly recommend!!
