Would have loved to catch more fish. But thatโs the nature of the beast. It wasnโt for lack of effort. Captain Steve looked for spots and Taylor kept us baited.ย We were able to catch dinner for 10 folks. But memories were made and thatโs all that matters to my family. I will use them again next year when we come back.
Four hr trip w/17 keepers including a 30+ lb. Jack Crevalle. I think this group did reel well! Look forward to even more action next time!, Thanks!
Captain and mate were awesome on a day when the seas were rough. Our whole group had a blast. We will use them again for sure.
Thanks & for all you who view this: SAFETY is our #1 concern! Rough or not, we will give you a fair & honest effort & again, it worked out! TY, Capt. Steve
Weather was nice. Couldnโt hook up with the kings so we bottom fished which was good for the three kids on the trip. Deckhand Calen was outstanding!!!!!!ย He went above and beyond helping kids.
Thanks guys for going with us & putting together a nice catch. It;s all about those early memories with kids!, Capt. Steve
Our Family of 6 had a great trip on The Lucky Lina. Captain Steve definitely put us on the fish. If we werenโt catching anything by the second drop he was moving to another spot. I cant really tell you how many fish we caught in total but we ended up keeping 40 of various kinds. I recommend this Boat and Captain and we will definitely use him again
I enjoyed this group of first-timers & it makes me feel that I accomplished my goal; to make anglers out of them enough to return. Look forward to next trip, thanks guys! Capt. Steve
Supposed to leave at 6 but the captain asked if we could go 6:30 because it didnโt get daylight until 7. Well it was plenty of daylight at 6:30 but no captin or mate or even a boat where there sign was. We walked around for awhile until I saw the phone number on that sign so I called it and the captain answered saying they are fueling the boat now at the end of the dock so we took our stuff there and left after 7. The mate said we will be catching bait fish on our way out but we didnโt we fished with small pieces of fish and squid. The mate and captain talked and said the weather made the waves to bad to ga out deep but I kept telling them the weather was supposed to be good after fishing for small fish next to other boats most of the morning I talked the captain to go out farther where we found the weather and waves to be nice. No trolling we only bottom fished with small hooks except for about 20 minutes when we tried live bait. I know fuel is high but when you pay for deep sea fishing and the weather is good then you should get what you pay for.

Obviously youโre telling a bunch of BS. we were 30 miles out and the reason why we didnโt bait fish sir is because the other boats that tried didnโt catch any! I was already in communication with the boats that departed at 6:30 the other thing is you use sabiki rigs to catch bait fish and the only way they work is when they reflect sunshine so if it is still dark which it was at 6:30 ( you should check the sunrise on that day), you will realize there was no sunshine to reflect off the bait rig so why donโt you just try telling the truth? You caught your limit of giant triggerfish which we culled and the captain & mates limit too!ย we did try live bait for Amberjack bites but they did not bite there is no guarantee in fishing but we were deep sea fishing probably over 220โ at times 30 miles from the shore deep sea fishing does not mean blue Marlin like Cabo San Lucas there are not such trolling fish available this time of year they donโt even show up till late may. By the way Amber Jack, grouper, and red snapper were all closed. thank the federal government for that so why would we target fish and waste your trip on stuff you canโt bring home? had you felt different why didnโt you say something to me during the trip??? We could have trolled multiple lures & never had a bite! 31 yrs experience; not gonna target fish that are 500 miles south. So take your unfair review & retract the lies. Hope you enjoyed the best eating fish in the Gulf (triggerfish) & the 40 + legal snapper you hauled in which you forgot to mention! Even the photographer complimented the size of triggerfish! YES >$700 FUEL & $100 OIL USED! Thank your president for that. We have zero regrets for our effort. The Championship also on a 12 hr on our dock caught absolutely nothing! Your $400 tip to the deckhand indicated you were quite satisfied. CAPT STEVEN
