Our second trip with Capt William on the Rebel Coast.  There will be a third…  We were on the fish from the first drop - sea bass, grouper, mackerel, grunt.  But here is why you gotta like William: the weather when we had scheduled our trip was very iffy, very cold days and possible big winds.  William called to talk about whether and how to be on the water.  Offered to push by one day since the forecast was a little better.  Offered to shorten the trip and call an audible if we wanted to keep fishing.  Offered to refund the deposit if we preferred to cancel. We moved by a day, agreed to head out and assess whether to stay on the water,  On the way out of Clearwater Bay to the Gulf, he specifically ran slower so we didn’t get sprayed and wet on a cold morning.  And it turned out to be a nice December day - chilly, a little wind but bright sun and calm water.  We were catching fish from the first drop and decided to stick with the 4 hour trip. And had a great morning.  William never stopped working, kept us on fish the whole time.  Good and knowledgeable and hard working captain, good guy, clean and well cared for boat, good gear, right bait.  Can’t ask for much more.

Took our group of four out with captain Will and crew and we had a 10/10 experience. The captain was knowledgeable, knew where all the good spots were, and definitely knew what he was doing. We also saw a dolphin which was fun. We ended the day with 18 keepers but had a lot more catches we threw back. Everyone had a great time. Finally, when we were done, the captain prepared filets and bagged it on ice, then gave us a recommendation of what local restaurant to go to have it prepared. It was the Salt Cracker Fish Camp. We got them grilled, blackened, and fried with some sides and it was delicious. I highly recommend Rebel Coast Charters and Captain Will if you’re looking to take a charter out.

To start off, we had beautiful weather which always leads to a better day on the water. Beyond the weather, He was right at the boat launch ready to roll 20 minutes early. We got on and he was more than welcoming. A short cruise out off shore and he put us right on fish. Despite moving to a few locations, every time a hook was in the water a fish was biting or being reeled in. Bait was reset as fast as it was lost and 4 hours flew right by in the blink of an eye. Captain William is for sure a recommendation from my wife and I. You can’t go wrong with Rebel Coast.

We had the perfect day with Capt William! Although we didn’t catch the most fish, he put us on everywhere he thought we would and changed spots as needed to ensure we’d at least have some kind of a bite. He was very knowledgeable about the fish species, their typical behaviors and how everything worked overall. His equipment was perfect, super easy to use! Overall I’d highly recommend this trip and I hope we get to come again next year :)

Two dads and our two sons age 14 & 15 had a great time with Capt. William. He offered us choices on what we wanted to fish for and the boys said big fish. Went inshore and put us on fish almost immediately. Landed 8 Redfish, 4 other fish were on, but not landed, 1 most likely a snook. My first redfish ever and it was a 30” red!

Had a great time, great weather and it was a gorgeous inshore evening fish, couldn’t have asked for anything else!

Capt. William communicated within a few hours of booking and then throughout the day before and day of the trip. He was a fun, easy going guy to talk to about fishing and was excellent helping out our boys.

Would definitely recommend and use again if we come back to Clearwater Florida!
