Capt. Brett is a pleasant fellow and I would like to give him a great review but canโt. My daughter, son-in-law and I spent 1/2 day with him listening to old 70โs and 80โs rockโn'roll music while trying hard to catch fish. I had assumed he guided full-time but it is only a part-time job for him. We used live bait early in the morning trying to catch keeper trout but the fish werenโt biting. After a couple of hours we tried to catch redfish throwing plastic baits and reeling fast and hard. He was able to catch a nice redfish finally and an hour later I caught another but that was it. I would attribute it to a tough day of fishing but when we returned to the dock all the other guides and clients brought back limits of redfish. I donโt know what the other guides did differently but it worked. Perhaps we did poorly because my family are all lousy fishermen and women.

First off to anyone reading this I apologize on the length of this response as there are just too many things in this review to respond on.
I am sorry you were unhappy with your experience. I work hard on every trip to make sure my clients have a great time while on my boat. I always give my clients the options of music which you chose to allow me to select the genre. During live bait portion of the early part of the morning you and your family caught many non-keeper sized speckled trout as the limit laws have changed. The later half of the day spent using plastic lures we were able to land 3 redfish where 1 was undersized. There were many fish seen but they werenโt eating aggressively due to the adverse conditions brought about by the Super Flower Blood Moon and lunar eclipse the night before. The one thing I do need to clarify is that only 1 other guide had a decent amount of fish brought back to the dock as where rest of us struggled and some returned with 0. We ended with 2 keeper redfish as you can see from the photo. Sometimes, itโs not about numbers, but about the time you spend with your family and the things you learn that most people never experience.
